Moderation and Safety

Last updated: June 2026

This page explains how Readr users can report content, block others, and contact Readr about safety or community guideline concerns.

What users can report

Users can report content or behavior involving harassment, hate or discrimination, explicit or objectionable content, spam, impersonation, illegal content, privacy violations, abusive messages, inappropriate profile content, club misuse, or other safety concerns.

How to report in the app

Where available, use the Readr app’s report action from the relevant profile, member, message, club, or content surface. In-app reporting helps preserve context for review.

If an in-app report option is unavailable or you cannot access the app, email Readr at the contact below.

What to include in reports

Include the account email involved when possible, the club name or context, the content or behavior being reported, approximate dates or times, and a short explanation of the concern. Do not send passwords, authentication codes, or unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Blocking users

Users can block other users where blocking is available in the Readr app. Blocking may reduce direct interaction, messaging, visibility, or invitations depending on the feature and shared club context.

How reports are reviewed

Safety reports may be reviewed using reported content, related account or club context, app activity relevant to the report, and other information needed to understand the issue. Readr may not be able to disclose every action taken after a report because of privacy, safety, or abuse-prevention reasons.

We aim to review safety and moderation reports as soon as reasonably possible. Response times may vary based on request volume, severity, and complexity.

Possible moderation actions

Depending on the context, Readr may remove content, restrict features, limit club access, suspend accounts, preserve information for safety review, or take other action that appears appropriate under the Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.

Urgent safety issues

Readr is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger or an emergency, contact local emergency services or appropriate authorities. You may also report the issue to Readr so the app-related context can be reviewed.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation action was made in error, contact Readr with the account email involved, relevant club or content context, and a brief explanation. Response times may vary based on request volume, severity, and complexity.
