Delete your Readr account

Users can delete their account inside the Readr app from Settings where account deletion is available. The app may ask you to confirm the request before deletion begins.

To protect account security, Readr may require you to sign in again or otherwise reauthenticate before account deletion can be completed.

Account deletion may delete or de-identify account information, email address, username, user ID, profile information, profile photos, notification preferences, APNs or FCM device tokens, device sessions, personal library data, saved books, reading progress, and other data tied primarily to your account.

Some shared book club content may be preserved, de-identified, or attributed in a limited way if deletion would disrupt other club members or shared club history. This can include messages, suggestions, votes, meeting details, and other content connected to a club.

If you own or administer a club, Readr may require ownership transfer, club closure, or other handling before deletion is completed so remaining members are not unexpectedly locked out of shared club information.

Readr may retain some information where reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, backup integrity, pending safety review, moderation records, or abuse prevention. Retention may vary based on the type of data and the reason it is retained.

If you cannot sign in or cannot access the in-app deletion flow, email Readr from the email address associated with your account when possible. Include a short explanation of the issue. Do not send passwords or authentication codes.
