How to organize a book club without a messy group chat
A practical way to keep book club decisions, meetings, suggestions, and member updates from disappearing inside a busy group chat.
Start with one shared source of truth
A book club does not need a complicated system, but it does need one place where the current plan lives. When the book, meeting date, location, and next decision are split across old messages, members have to ask the same questions again.
Use a shared home for the current read, upcoming meeting, suggestions, and votes. The goal is not to replace conversation. The goal is to keep decisions easy to find.
Separate discussion from decisions
Group chats are good for quick conversation. They are less good for remembering which book won the vote, who suggested what, or when the next meeting was moved.
